The link " Members Bulletin Board" at the top of this page will now take you to The RC Hangar - a Bulletin Board/Forum which has been created for the benefit of our members and all others in the Virginia area who wish to share their enthusiasm for the hobby.

The Rivanna Radio Control Club was organized in 1963 and is a Chartered Member # 1152 of the Academy of Model Aeronautics ( the A.M.A. ). In 1978 the club was incorporated as a non profit organization.
The club was organized to stimulate interest in, educate, provide member support and
facilities for the operation of Radio Controlled Aircraft, the club invites you to tour our
web site RIVANNARC.COM in the hope that you may be attracted to a recreational
activity we all find fun and rewarding.
The club conducts its flying activities at Milton Field. The field is available to club members
7 days a week. Powered aircraft may be operated in accordance with a schedule of operating hours and subject to posted sound restrictions.
To fly at the field without a Club Instructor one must be
The club maintains training equipment for the express use of its flight instructors in providing flight demonstations and instruction to those new to the hobby. A non member may arrange
with an instructor an introductory lesson. New members may obtain up to three lessons with
an instructor utilizing the club trainer.
Here is our "Getting Started" guide for beginners. The club is introducing a Student Pilot Training Program and is looking forward to introducing many new pilots to the hobby.
